Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Valid nationally recognized certification (such as RID or EIPA)
  • Experience providing interpretation in educational environments preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Sensitivity to the needs of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clear, accurate communication between students, staff, and faculty using ASL
  • Support classroom learning by interpreting lectures, discussions, and school events
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Collaborate with educational professionals to provide optimal language access
