Sign Language Interpreter in Clovis, CA

This opportunity offers the chance to use your skills as a Sign Language Interpreter, fostering inclusion and accessibility for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.

You’ll be assigned to one campus for 32.5 hours each week, allowing for strong, ongoing relationships with both students and faculty while providing consistent, high-quality support. Your expertise will facilitate communication and equal access to educational opportunities, helping every student reach their full potential.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• NAD Certification or EIPA Certification with a score of 4.0 or above is required
• Experience interpreting in K-12 school environments is strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and families
• In-depth knowledge of American Sign Language and best practices for educational interpreting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Passion for supporting student learning and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for K-12 students during classroom instruction and school activities
• Work closely with teachers to ensure Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students receive high-quality access to the curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive setting for all learners
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions
• Support student participation in both academic and extracurricular activities
