This contract opportunity runs ASAP through May 25, 2027, offering 30 hours per week for a meaningful one-on-one assignment. Your role will be instrumental in empowering a young learner to participate fully in classroom life, school activities, and peer interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification or credentials (EIPA 3.5+ required)
  • Experience supporting children or prior work in school settings is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Commitment to working collaboratively as part of an educational team
  • Professionalism, discretion, and reliability in maintaining confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interpreting services in classrooms, meetings, and school events for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Facilitate clear communication among students, teachers, staff, and classmates to promote inclusion and understanding
  • Follow student-specific IEP accommodations and adhere to school policies to ensure consistent support
  • Partner with teachers and special education professionals to tailor communication supports and address individual student needs
