Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current credential as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; completion of the written EIPA portion required
- Experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to varying student and classroom needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation between students, staff, and educators
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support individualized student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting
- Assist with fostering an inclusive environment that enables student participation in all aspects of school life
- Participate in meetings and professional development as needed
