This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for passionate Sign Language Interpreters ready to collaborate with dynamic educational teams and deliver excellence in interpreting services.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or above, or
- SLI Para with EIPA scores close to 3.5 and a commitment to retake the exam (may begin as a SLI tech and transition into a full SLI)
- Strong skills in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Ability to work onsite for the 2026-2027 school year, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week (part-time options may be considered)
- Flexibility and willingness to discuss caseload and age group assignment based on your background and interests during the interview process
- Dedication to accurate, daily documentation of interpreting services
- Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
What You’ll Do:
- Interpret spoken communication into ASL for students and staff throughout the school day
- Facilitate clear understanding between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, educators, and support staff
- Adapt interpreting approach to a variety of classroom and extracurricular settings
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with ethical standards
- Complete required service logs and documentation promptly
