Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters, with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
  • Candidates with EIPA scores close to 3.5, willing to re-test, will be considered for SLI Technician roles (with potential to transition to full SLI)
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Willingness to engage in daily service logs and clear documentation
  • Flexibility to discuss age group preferences and best placement

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite interpretation services in educational environments
  • Effectively facilitate communication between students, staff, and faculty
  • Maintain daily logs documenting interpretive services
  • Collaborate with district staff to ensure appropriate caseload and placements
