Key Qualifications:
- Hold an EIPA 4.0 certification or higher
- Demonstrated experience in educational settings, preferably working 1:1 with students
- Fluency in American Sign Language and familiarity with interpreting in classroom environments
- Ability to collaborate with educators and staff to ensure effective communication
- Clear background check and adherence to school district protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for a single elementary-aged student
- Facilitate communication in all classroom, small group, and school-related activities
- Support teachers by providing feedback and sharing insights that support student engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with educational standards
- Assist with any additional interpreting needs as determined by the student’s educational team
Position Highlights:
- Full-time contract schedule, 37.5 hours per week
- School calendar dates: August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027
