Two skilled Sign Language Interpreters are needed for a contract assignment just south of Atlanta, with opportunities at both elementary and high school levels. Qualifications & Experience:
- 3.5 EIPA or higher
- Eligibility for the GaPSC Educational Interpreter Certificate
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and educational interpreting best practices
- Experience supporting students in K–12 settings preferred
- Professionalism, adaptability, and strong collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate sign language interpreting for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Foster effective communication between students, teachers, and classmates
- Interpret during lectures, discussions, school events, and extracurricular activities
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as needed
- Support an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and learning
- Uphold standards of confidentiality and ethics in all interactions
Position Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Contract, for the academic year
- Openings available in both elementary and high school settings
- Conveniently located just 20 minutes south of Atlanta
