Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or current RID/NAD certification is required
  • Preferred: At least two years of experience providing sign language interpreting services
  • Experience working with students in educational settings, especially 1:1 support, is a strong asset
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and positive interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpreting services for students in general education and specialized classroom environments
  • Support communication between students and teachers, peers, and school staff
  • Adapt interpreting strategies to meet a variety of grade levels from kindergarten through high school
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to an inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to maximize student success
