With up to five positions available, there is flexibility for interpreters who bring both experience and passion for working in school settings.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Previous experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Familiarity with DHH support methodologies is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
- Ability to adapt to various classroom settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and classroom activities
- Collaborate with DHH specialists and other classroom professionals
- Support individualized educational plans and communication access
- Foster inclusive, accessible learning environments
- Adjust approach based on specific student caseload, as assigned
