Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Creswell, Oregon

Step into a meaningful role as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a collaborative educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity spans from late August 2026 to mid-June 2027. In this position, you will work both independently and as part of a supportive team—including other interpreters and classroom staff—serving a consistent selection of schools in the Eugene area. The majority of your time will be dedicated to meaningful 1:1 interpretation for a student, building strong connections to support their learning and communication needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Completion of interpreter training program
• Score of 3.5 or higher on the IEPA assessment
• All required licensure, certifications, and credentials needed for this assignment (please verify qualifications before applying)
• Solid experience in educational environments, especially with Deaf/Hard of Hearing student populations
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and team interpreters
• Ability to independently manage assignments across multiple school buildings

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with educators, DHH specialists, and classroom support to create effective communication strategies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student planning, ensuring consistent and equitable access to instruction
