Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current EIPA score of at least 3.5 (required)
  • Willingness to obtain GaPSC interpreter licensure prior to or upon hire
  • Experience in K-12 school settings, preferably with individual or small group assignments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Professionalism and reliability in a school environment
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct American Sign Language interpretation for a high school freshman in all classroom activities and school functions
  • Facilitate clear communication between student, teachers, and peers
  • Accurately interpret lectures, discussions, instructions, and social interactions
  • Support the student’s educational participation and engagement throughout the day
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards at all times
