Location: Denver, CO (with travel to various school locations)
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL).
- Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion for students requiring sign language interpretation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Adapt to different educational settings and student needs while traveling to assigned schools.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills in educational contexts.
- Experience working in school environments preferred.
- Ability to travel between school sites as required.
