A position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication in educational settings. This opportunity involves working with schools and requires travel, offering dynamic environments and the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and accessibility.

Location: Denver, CO (with travel to various school locations)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion for students requiring sign language interpretation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Adapt to different educational settings and student needs while traveling to assigned schools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills in educational contexts.
  • Experience working in school environments preferred.
  • Ability to travel between school sites as required.
