Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with excellent interpretive skills.
  • Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in school environments.
  • Ability to facilitate clear communication in both individual and group settings.
  • Comfortable adapting to various classroom subjects and age groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and confidentiality when working with students and staff.
  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state certification), if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpreting services for students, staff, and family members who are deaf or hard of hearing during classes and school activities.
