Key Qualifications:

• Current EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
• Previous experience working in school settings as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and English to interpret discussions, lectures, and student interactions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working virtually and utilizing video conferencing technology
• Full-time availability

Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time virtual interpreting services for students during classroom instruction, activities, and school events
• Accurately interpret spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters
• Collaborate with educational staff to ensure optimal access to curriculum for students
• Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions as needed
• Keep clear records of assignments and student progress
