This contract opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, offering a rewarding experience working onsite with a diverse group of teenagers. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in educational or school environments strongly preferred
• Acceptance of applicants with a PROVISIONAL license if EIPA score is under 4.0
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt interpretation to the needs of high school students
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students, staff, and peers during classroom instruction and activities
• Accurately interpret lessons, discussions, and school events using ASL
• Collaborate with teachers and school support teams to ensure student access and engagement
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and rights of students
• Provide language support in a variety of high school scenarios, including academic and extracurricular settings
