With positions available across Rosenburg and Douglas, you’ll work collaboratively with students, staff, and teachers in an inclusive educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certification/Licensure
• Demonstrable fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in educational settings
• Ability to adapt interpreting techniques to various age groups and classroom subjects
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Professionalism, reliability, and commitment to student confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) during all classroom activities and school-sponsored programs
• Support instruction by ensuring effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to address student needs
• Maintain accurate records of services provided
• Uphold ethical standards and privacy requirements as established by the profession and the district
• Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
