A contract opportunity is available for a highly qualified professional to work 1:1 with a third-grade student, providing dedicated interpreting services throughout the academic year. The assignment is on-site and runs from August 24, 2026, through June 3, 2027, aligning closely with the school calendar.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter, with a minimum EIPA score of 4.0.
• Previous experience working in an educational environment, especially in a 1:1 capacity, is highly valued.
• Strong command of American Sign Language and the ability to facilitate clear, effective communication between student and staff.
• Knowledge of school protocols and the ability to collaborate with teachers and educational teams.
• Professionalism, dependability, and a compassionate approach to supporting students’ learning needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-site interpreting services for a third-grade student, ensuring full access to classroom instruction and activities.
• Adapt communication strategies based on the student’s needs and classroom context.
• Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s social and academic development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times.
• Serve as an advocate for the student, promoting inclusive communication within the educational environment.
