Travel Educational Interpreter - Edison, NJ

A school-based opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students and staff in an educational setting. This travel position is located in Edison, NJ, and requires flexibility to work within a school environment while facilitating effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation between students, teachers, and staff during classroom instruction and school activities
• Facilitate communication in a variety of educational settings to ensure equal access to learning
• Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to create an inclusive environment
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Adapt interpreting services to accommodate various situations and student needs

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience
• Knowledge of educational terminology and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a school setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site in Edison, NJ
