Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Comfortable working within diverse educational settings—elementary, middle, or high school.
• Ability to facilitate clear communication between deaf/hard of hearing students, staff, and peers.
• State and/or national certification, such as EIPA, RID, or equivalent (or eligibility for certification).
• Adaptable and reliable, with strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, assemblies, and extracurricular activities to promote inclusion.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and support staff.
• Adjust interpreting methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
