To excel in this position, you’ll need:
- Valid and active CDE Authorization for educational interpreting
- EIPA score of 3.5 or above (required for Cherry Creek and the state)
- Proven fluency and skills in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working full-time in both SPED (mild to severe) and general education settings
- Flexibility to work onsite at multiple schools as an itinerant interpreter
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct sign language interpreting for students across multiple school sites
- Supporting SPED and general education programs (FSY, full range)
- Collaborating with educators and specialists for optimal student outcomes
- Adapting communication strategies for varied learning needs
