Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within school or educational environments
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• 4.0 EIPA or National Interpreter Certification (NIC), or willingness to obtain Kentucky interpreter license with guidance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
• Commitment to professionalism and ethical interpreting practices

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students, faculty, and school events
• Collaborate with teachers to enhance classroom accessibility
• Assist in the creation and adaptation of instructional materials
• Support students’ academic and social development through clear communication
• Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and school activities as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation as required
