What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in ASL with demonstrated experience interpreting in educational environments
  • Relevant certification or licensure to serve as a sign language interpreter in a school setting
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, supporting both academic and social settings
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with educators and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, school activities, and individualized education plan (IEP) meetings for students requiring ASL services
  • Work directly with teachers to ensure student understanding and participation in all aspects of their school experience
  • Support teachers in developing accessible lesson plans and materials as needed
  • Help foster a supportive and engaging environment for students using ASL
  • Serve as an advocate for inclusivity and accessible communication in the classroom and during school events
