Qualifications:
- Hold a current Sign Language Interpreter license in the State of North Carolina
- Two or more years’ experience in an educational or school-based setting preferred
- Commitment to full-time, onsite service for the duration of the academic year (August 10, 2026 – May 27, 2027)
- Comfortable interpreting for a caseload of 1.1 students
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpreting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and effective interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student access and success
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Adapt to individual student needs and changes in caseload
