Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English with the ability to accurately interpret spoken language and sign language.
• Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or educational environment preferred.
• Certification such as EIPA, RID, or state licensure is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret instructional and conversational content between deaf/hard of hearing students and staff or peers in classroom and school-related activities.

• Facilitate communication during parent-teacher conferences, assemblies, and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpretation.
• Offer feedback and collaborate with school teams and special education staff to support student needs and learning outcomes.
