Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational or related environment is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with IEPs and accommodations for DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) students
  • Patience, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Current state and national certifications (if required by state guidelines)
  • Ability to adapt to new settings quickly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication between DHH students and their peers, teachers, and support personnel
