Position Title: Full-time Elementary Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Location: Folsom, CA 95630   

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: 35-45/hr based on experience

Schedule: 7:50am - 2:15pm 30 hours a week

Responsibilities:

• Performing American Sign Language to an 4th grade elementary student 

• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing and hearing individuals

• Interpret spoken language into various forms of sign language and vice versa

• Adhere to professional code of ethics and maintain confidentiality

• Collaborate with other interpreters and professionals as needed

• Adapt interpreting style to match the linguistic needs of clients

Qualifications:

• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Score: 4.0+ w/written is required

• Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting preferred 

• Fluency in American Sign Language and English
