This full-time opportunity spans the academic year from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with potential pre- or post-planning days. You’ll have flexibility regarding your schedule, as both full-time (at least 37.5 hours per week) and possible part-time options are considered based on district needs. Caseload details will be determined during the interview process, taking your preferred age group and experience into account for optimal placement.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters—must be current and active
- EIPA score of 3.5 or above is required
- Confidence in completing daily service logs to document interpreting services
- Previous experience in school settings highly valued
- Professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent sign language interpretation for students in classroom and school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate effective communication
- Document daily services accurately in accordance with district policies
- Adapt interpretation style based on student needs and age range
- Participate in planning and IEP meetings as needed
