Sign Language Interpreter in Fort Benning, GA

Bring your expertise in sign language interpreting to a rewarding, contract-based opportunity supporting students in an educational setting near Fort Benning, GA. This onsite role offers full-time hours (minimum 37.5 hours per week) with the possibility of part-time arrangements depending on availability and district needs. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21st, 2027, with some flexibility for pre- and post-planning days.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters and an EIPA score of 3.5 or above.
• Candidates who are SLI paraprofessionals with closely qualifying EIPA scores and a commitment to retake the exam for full certification are also encouraged (potential for advancement to a full SLI role during the assignment).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and strong skills in facilitating communication between students, staff, and families.
• Readiness to complete daily logs to document provided services.
• Willingness to discuss preferred age groups and experience during interviews to ensure optimal placement.
