Seeking skilled Sign Language Interpreters to provide essential onsite services for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity will support students in an educational setting, with assignments tailored to your experience and age group preferences. Anticipated dates run from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with the possibility of additional planning days. The district will determine caseloads following candidate interviews to ensure optimal placement and support for both students and interpreters.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters
  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
  • Comfortable completing daily service logs as required by the district
  • Able to commit to onsite work (remote candidates are not eligible for this role)
  • Willingness to discuss caseload preferences and experience during interview process

Role Expectations:

  • Provide accurate, fluent sign language interpretation in classroom and school-related settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and engagement
  • Maintain detailed daily records of interpreting services provided, meeting district documentation standards
  • Foster an inclusive and accessible environment for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Attend meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as needed throughout the assignment

Details and Placement:

  • Full-time schedule (minimum 37.5 hours per week), with part-time consideration based on availability
  • Placement and caseload finalized post-interview and in alignment with individual strengths
  • The district is currently finalizing its budget, with interviews expected to begin in June or early July
