Key Qualifications:

• Presently holds an active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters, with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Alternately, Sign Language Interpreter Paraprofessionals with closely qualifying EIPA scores who plan to retake the exam are encouraged to apply (potential for advancement within the school year)
• Comfortable using daily logs and documentation to record services provided
• Open to adapting caseload and working with a variety of age groups, as specifics will be discussed during the interview
• Committed to fostering communication and educational access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation for students and staff during classroom instruction, activities, and school events
• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure appropriate accommodations and access are in place
• Engage in daily documentation and maintain accurate records of interpreting services
• Participate in pre- and post-planning as needed and adapt to changes in caseload throughout the assignment
