What you’ll bring:

  • Current and advanced skills as a Sign Language Interpreter; school psychology experience valued
  • Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 (required for interpreters)
  • Certification in relevant discipline preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in school settings, particularly with young children
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability to dynamic classroom environments
  • Ability to work onsite throughout the school year, 37.5 hours per week
  • Passion for fostering inclusive, accessible education

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 sign language interpreting services for early elementary students
  • Facilitating effective and clear communication between students, staff, and peers
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, families, and school support teams
  • Assisting with classroom activities, instructional delivery, and social interactions
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to best practices in educational interpreting
  • Keeping detailed, professional documentation as required
