Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting.
  • National certification (RID, EIPA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in American Sign Language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Adaptability and flexibility for a fast-paced, diverse educational environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Work in close partnership with teachers, support staff, and other interpreters.
  • Assist in classroom activities, ensuring full access to the curriculum.
  • Facilitate effective communication between students and staff.
  • Support educational and social engagement for students during the assignment period from March 25th to May 13th.
