Sign Language Interpreter in Fresno, CA

Bring your expertise in American Sign Language to a rewarding educational setting, serving K-12 students for the 2025-2026 school year. This on-site position is based at a single campus located near Fresno, CA, and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will support clear communication and foster classroom engagement, working approximately 32.5 hours each week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in school settings is preferred
• Valid NAD Certification or EIPA Certification with a score of 4.0 or above
• Dedication to working with students across all grade levels (K-12)
• Collaborative, reliable, and adaptable in dynamic educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students and staff in K-12 classrooms
• Facilitate communication during lessons, school events, and meetings
• Adapt interpreting style to match the needs of each student and classroom
