Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting for a school-aged population
- National/interpreter certification (e.g., RID, EIPA) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of Deaf culture and educational support needs
- Ability to adapt communication style based on student and teacher requirements
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear, accurate interpretation between students, staff, and faculty members
- Facilitate effective communication for students who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing in a variety of classroom and school activities
