This full-time position runs from August 19, 2026, through June 2, 2027, following a regular school schedule of 7:20 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., Monday through Friday, for a total of 35 hours each week.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings.
- Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required).
- Experience in 1:1 assignments, collaborating with students with additional needs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Professionalism and adaptability within dynamic classroom environments.
- Commitment to confidentiality and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated, one-on-one interpreting services for a 5th grade student in a Life Skills setting.
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and instructional staff.
- Support the student’s comprehension and participation in classroom activities and broader school life.
- Accurately convey spoken language into American Sign Language (and vice versa) in real time.
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure effective accommodations and inclusion.
- Maintain thorough documentation and safeguard privacy in accordance with policies.
