You’ll collaborate daily with special education teams, working closely alongside teachers, staff, and students to facilitate clear, accessible communication while championing inclusivity across the classroom setting.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Hold a minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Experience in K-12 educational settings, particularly with special education populations
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation in academic and group settings
• Adept at multitasking while maintaining accuracy and discretion
• Professional, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple locations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom dialogue, instructions, and educational materials between students, teachers, and staff in real time
• Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring equal access and active participation
• Work with special education teachers to help adapt lesson content
• Exhibit strict adherence to professional and ethical guidelines for confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, families, and external service providers
• Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment
