Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter; EIPA Score of 3.5 or above (must provide documentation)
- Experience in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support students from K-8th grade (John Powers Center) or 9th-12th grade (Grayslake North High School) – applicants must specify desired position
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpreting services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classroom and school environments
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Adapt signing to meet the needs of individual students and class environments
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure student success
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
