A K-12 educational institution in Greenwood, IN, is seeking a skilled professional to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and instruction services. This contract role supports students with hearing impairments by facilitating effective communication and enhancing their educational experience throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings.
- Deliver ASL instruction tailored to students across K-12 grade levels, promoting language development and cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support student progress.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language with certification preferred.
