Certified Licensed Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Greenwood, Indiana

As an interpreter, you’ll use your expertise in American Sign Language to provide real-time translation and facilitation of classroom discussions, lectures, and group activities. Your skills will allow the student to fully engage with core curriculum, peers, and instructors, and to access all dimensions of high school life.

Qualifications:

• Registration under the SLI and Transliteration Registration Act is required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience supporting students who are Deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting
• Ability to accurately interpret and transliterate between spoken English and sign language
• Skilled at reading and following both oral and written instructions
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
