Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Certified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) with experience in educational settings
  • Background in teaching or interpreting for high school-aged children
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Adaptability to tailor communication strategies to individual student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-classroom and one-on-one ASL interpretation for high school students—including one senior (daily 11:30am-3:30pm, male students preferred for this need), and one 10th-grade female with cochlear implants (8:00am-3:30pm)
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
  • Facilitate equal access to instruction and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
