Both full-time (at least 37.5 hours per week) and potential part-time schedules are considered, making this an excellent fit for professionals seeking impactful, school-based work.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or above, OR
  • SLI Para applicants near the qualifying EIPA score willing to re-test (opportunity to start as SLI tech and transition during the year)
  • Strong command of American Sign Language and interpreting skills in academic environments
  • Willingness to complete daily service documentation logs
  • Ability to collaborate in interviews to determine best student age group placement based on your experience and preference

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation for students and staff in classroom and/or school activities
  • Accurately and promptly complete daily logs to document all interpreting services
  • Communicate effectively with students, educators, and administrators to ensure seamless access and inclusion
  • Adapt to various caseloads and school settings as needed
  • Engage in pre- and post-planning, as necessary, to facilitate smooth transitions throughout the school year
