Qualifications:
- VQAS Level 2 or higher, or an EIPA score of 3.5 or above
- Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings
- Familiarity with interpreting for children and adolescents
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to diverse classroom situations and student needs
- Strong understanding of Deaf culture and ASL grammar
Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting services for students, staff, and families during classes and school-related activities
- Facilitate clear communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and administrators
- Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to support student success
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all interpreting assignments
