You’ll play a pivotal role in guiding students and collaborating with mainstream classroom teachers, all while juggling meaningful work with time to enjoy new adventures during your off hours.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3.5 EIPA & ISBE certification OR 3.0+ EIPA with IBSE approval
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting
• Strong commitment to fostering communication accessibility for students
• Willingness to travel and adapt to new educational environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for high school students in mainstream classrooms
• Collaborate with education staff to promote full student participation
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Support students’ learning and inclusion from start dates ASAP through end of assigned contract dates (Harvard site until 5/30/27; Burlington site until 5/21/27)
• Ensure compliance with IEP requirements and district guidelines

Position Details:

• Two part-time roles available:
  • Burlington, IL: 0.35 FTE (12:30–3:00pm, Monday–Friday)
  • Harvard, IL: 0.5 FTE (11:00am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday)
