Key Qualifications:

• Valid credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Minimum 3.5 EIPA & ISBE certificate, or 3.0+ EIPA with ISBE approval
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Strong ability to facilitate communication in mainstream classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for a high school student in a mainstream classroom, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure optimal student participation and access
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning experience for the student
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
