What You’ll Need:

• EIPA score of 4.0, including written (must be listed on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry [LCDC]); RID and NIC certifications also accepted (must also hold written)
• Previous VOCO (virtual communication) experience required
• Ability to provide services to high school-aged students (caseload TBD)
• Credentialing requirements to be determined
• Professionalism and adaptability in multi-school settings

Role Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication and learning for high school students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate proactively with teachers, staff, and families to implement individualized learning supports
• Adhere to confidentiality and best practice protocols
• Adjust interpreting strategies for both in-person and VOCO (virtual) settings
