An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication needs within educational settings. This role involves providing clear and accurate sign language interpretation services to students, staff, and community members, ensuring effective access to information and learning. The position is travel-based, allowing placement in various school environments in and around Haughton, Louisiana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their hearing peers, teachers, and staff by interpreting spoken language into sign language and vice versa.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to accommodate individualized learning plans and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while adapting to diverse educational settings.
