Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter in the state of North Carolina
• Experience interpreting in school settings is highly desirable
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreting in educational environments

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with students, teachers, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, lessons, and activities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Facilitate communication between students, educators, and peers using sign language
