What you need to succeed:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Current national or state interpreter certification (e.g., EIPA, RID, or state licensure)
  • Previous experience providing sign language interpretation in educational environments preferred
  • Ability to facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for travel engagements

  • Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and events for students and staff
