Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong experience serving as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
• EIPA score (or equivalent interpreting certification) preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 interpreting services for a designated elementary student during school hours
• Facilitate communication between the student, staff, and classmates in both classroom and communal activities
• Support instructional goals and student engagement by accurately interpreting verbal and signed communications
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to address student needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and ethical standards
