Make a meaningful impact in an educational setting as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter, working one-on-one with high school students. Currently, there are both full-time and part-time contract opportunities supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Openings include two full-time roles providing individualized support (35–37.5 hours, Monday–Friday) and a part-time position working with a high school student with significant needs. The part-time schedule covers Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:40 AM to 4:15 PM, and involves accompanying the student between neighboring buildings for specialized services. All students are engaged in active learning environments that value clear, accessible communication.

Desired Qualifications:

  • EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, or possession of RID/NAD Certification
  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or above
  • At least two years of professional experience in sign language interpreting (preferred)
  • Capacity to build rapport with high school students and participate collaboratively in their learning experience
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist students as they transition between classrooms and buildings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, clear interpretation for students in classroom and campus settings
  • Foster an inclusive environment where Deaf or Hard of Hearing students can participate fully in academic and extracurricular activities
  • Accompany students as needed, ensuring seamless communication in all their educational interactions
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to best meet students' individualized needs
